Faith Formation
Faith formation is a lifelong pursuit; we are never finished learning about our beliefs. As Unitarian Universalists we value the idea of evolution, in that we do not believe that we are forever bound to an unchangeable creed. We believe that we can change and should change as we mature and grow emotionally, spiritually, and intellectually.
The ministry of faith formation is for all ages. From our littlest ones to our revered elders, we are all explorers of our faith. What we believe at ten may not be what believe we 70. The beauty of Unitarian Universalism is the fact that we are un-agreed on the most essential issues of faith. It is also our challenge to articulate what it is that we do believe. My ministry is to offer opportunities through workshops, classes, and worship for all of us to explore what we believe, as individuals and as community. My workshops and classes have focused on articulating our faith, the history of Unitarian Universalism, world religions as well as other relevant topics. Each of us charts our own spiritual path, and there is much we learn from being with others as we navigate the seas of faith. |
